BLACK SEA BASS

Description: Black or dark brown skin with black on white stripes. Distinguishable fatty hump on the top of head.

Where Most Often Found: Offshore on hard sea bottom and rubble.

Feeding Habits: Aggressive bottom feeders. Eat small fish, shell fish and crustaceans.

Size Range: On average from 1 to 1.5 lbs.

Bag Limit/ Size Limit: No bag limit. Must be a total of 12 inches in total length in order to keep.

Food Grade: Excellent table fare. Fillets are very white and flaky when cooked. Light fish taste.
